A Day of a Housewife

If you think that being a housewife is so easy, you're totally wrong. Let's talk about a day of a housewife in a MODERATE family with a hubby (of course one lah) and three children.

House chores in A DAY.

DEAL WITH CLOTHES

Ø Usually for clothes we wear everyday at home, you can just dump it into washing machine. Shirts and pants, 2*5 = 10 pieces

Ø Pyjamas? Okay, add in also.. 2*5 = 10 pieces

Ø Uniforms? Formal clothes? Usually hand wash will be preferred, if not your pricey G200 shirt will be ruined after a few times of washing by washing machine.

• Three children, you will have to wash 3 sets of uniforms. Uniforms are usually kinda thick. Comes with a collar tee and pants/skirt, 3*2= 6 pieces
  
  
• The hubby part, formal shirt with pants. 2 pieces
  
  
• For the housewife, I dont think that she needs any uniform. Unless she wears french maid uniform? ^^
  
  
• And that does not include clothes for other occasion. Sports? Casual Attire? Assume that your children have co-curicular activities, 3*2 = 6 pieces. Let's assume that the children are not joining PBSM or Kadet. (Die lor, if have to wash so many clothes made of thick fabric)
  
  
• What about casual clothes? Pretty dress? Make it 5 pieces okay? Come on, you will need to wear jeans or tee when you go out for simple occasion like shopping? Jeans do not need to wash regularly but shirts/dresses are needed. (Hygiene people~)
  
  
• In case you don't know know, clothes made of good fabric material can last for a few years if you use handwash. The colours will not fade or become translucent.

Ø Handwash does not mean dipping your clothes into the water like McDonald's chocolate dipped cone. Real WASH okay?

Ø Lingerie, unders, socks? LOL.

Ø Okay, let's sum up! 20 pieces for washing machine, 19 pieces for handwash. (exclusive a pile of lingerie, unders, socks)

Ø Wash already need to dry out the clothes and fold or iron the clothes.

Ø 19 pieces of shirts (uniforms & casual attire) need to be iron, 20 pieces need to be folded.

Ø Deal with 39 pieces of clothes PER DAY, exclusive lingerie & unders.

DEAL WITH CLEANING

Ø *Pss* Do not get a house with three levels when you do not have a maid for each level. (what do you call that, triple storey?)

Ø Vacuum and mop, wipe the dusk and arrange

Ø Have you forgotten something? The staircase?

Ø Unless your cleaning means swinging your vacuum cleaner/mop around, if not it will take at least 2 hours of pitiless labour work for a level. (simple cleaning)

Ø When it comes to spring cleaning, can you imagine?

MISCELLANEOUS

Ø A full time housewife has to cook, take care of everything in the house. "Big big small small" also need to take care.

Ø What about the garden? If you have an orchid garden like my mum's.

Ø What about the children? They need to be nurtured every single second. Other than eat and sleep, what about good ethical and wellbeing?

Ø And it goes on, and on.. etc!

Do not underestimate the role of a housewife. As cleaner, baby-sitter, cooker, gardener, and most importantly as a MOTHER.

Guys, would you do all these everyday? It's like your job for the rest of your life. You wake up every morning and you'll have to start to the chores just like what you've done yesterday. It's the same everyday, endless chores!

Let's hope that every housewife has a understanding husband. But what if NO?

Some guys tend to think that women with low education level are nothing but labours who only deal with house chores. They also think that women tend to grumble a lot as they count their wedding anniversary.

I'm not saying that it's alright for women to do so, but try to comprehend what they face everyday. Imagine that you are in that position, doing tiring and endless chores everyday, how would you feel?

Generally housewives would be auntie-like person as time passes by, if you know what I mean. For the sake of taking care of the house and family members, the beauty of women depreciates from day to day.

And that's why women will tend to buy facial products or cosmetics. But alas, some guys think that women spend too much on unnecessary facial products. (I'm sorry, UNNECESSARY?)

Loads more. This is the life of a typical housewife from a MODERATE family. What about the mothers from poor family? Single mothers?

Please do respect every woman you know, even the aunty-aunties who work at market or mamak stall. Have respect for the mothers who have lost their slim body figure after giving birth to her children.

Love is of essence to build a harmony family. Understanding is the quintessence of maintaining a harmony existence.
